L'autore
Dennis Conroy, a World War 2 veteran, served as air-gunner and fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force, being attached briefly to the United States 8th. Air Force in Great Britain. Later Dennis Conroy had a variegated career including president of a self-owned group of companies, civil servant, bodyguard with a major international security group and market research statistician, among others. In spite of this variety of occupations Dennis Conroy wrote short stories and articles for magazines and newspapers continually. So continually that his first article was published in 1938 and the latest in 2008 thus surely making him one of the longest published writers today. Apart from six years of warfare Dennis Conroy has fought crime in a civilian capacity. During a long employment as Security Officer in an international retail company he worked in close co-operation with the Criminal Investigation Department of a large police force. Here he instigated numerous arrests of organized criminals many reacting violently when apprehended. On one occasion both he and his opponent were hospitalized. Luckily Dennis Conroy was granted a monetary award by higher authority for injuries received. Higher authority also awarded the criminal a hefty jail sentence. Dennis Conroy lived for many years in the Middle East and learned much about the international mafia running drugs through Egypt to Europe. He knew and socialized with many police officers, European and Egyptian, who were involved in combating the drug barons. Dennis Conroy now lives peacefully on Vancouver Island, Canada.
