No Greater Honor is a fascinating look at leadership principles from the perspective of a retired Major General in the US Army, one of the few women to have achieved that rank. The advice she offers is based on her own experience but is also applicable to other industries. She shares the lessons she learned from almost 40 years uniform. Her stories capture the opportunities she seized and the struggles she faced as she rose through the ranks from Private First Class to Major General. No Greater Honor provides guidance for both those just beginning their leadership journey as well as those in senior leadership roles. General Price shares stories that reflect the difficulty of a woman entering into the white male-led military. They are poignant, humorous, and thought-provoking. She covers topics that are not typically covered in canned leadership speeches. Her leadership lessons are particularly relevant for discussions regarding social justice. She addresses a leader's duty to care and to speak up for others. General Price also ventures into the areas of personal space, resiliency, and trust. The chapter on diversity, inclusion, and unconscious bias will enlighten you and cause you to rethink your own decision making. General Price provides a look inside the Army from the 1970s until her retirement in 2014. She walks you through the social change of the seventies that opened the doors to women, allowing them to work in roles that had traditionally been held by men-only. General Price provides plenty of content to guide others on their journey using the techniques from her military training.…
