Paperback. "From the Ground Up" provides a fascinating and detailed look at the burgeoning world of aviation during its most transformative era. Written by William Adams Simonds and Fred L. Black, the work explores the technical, commercial, and personal dimensions of flight as it transitioned from a daring novelty into a cornerstone of modern industry. The narrative follows the journey of a young man as he navigates the complexities of the aviation world, offering readers an inside view of pilot training, aircraft manufacturing, and the logistical challenges of early air travel.Set against the backdrop of the early 20th century, the book highlights the visionary spirit of the age. It delves into the mechanics of flight and the development of the infrastructure necessary to support an aerial nation.
