Post-brexit buyers from the EU need to be aware that they may be charged import duty, VAT and customs and/or EU courier handling charges which will be collected by the European courier/mail service in that EU country prior to delivery or collection of books or other goods. This is in addition to the shipping charge which is collected by the seller at confirmation of an order and is the cost of shipping from the UK and currently does not include taxes and charges originating in the EU. These latter taxes and charges differ from country to country and are also dependent on the value of the item/order. In some cases it may be cost-effective to ship books from multiple orders independently of each other.

Cheques are only accepted in UK£ (GBPounds). Cheques are only accepted for the value of £20.00 or more due to costs of processing by the bank and other associated costs.

We accept payments through Paypal subject to terms and conditions at abebooks and at our abebooks site. Where there is a difference in policies between abebooks and our abebooks website, and Paypal then abebooks and our abebooks website policies will overule Paypal policies.

We accept bank transfers through UK banks, please email us for our bank details.

International bank transfers must be made in UK sterling, buyers will be required to pay their own associated fees and the £7 seller's bank fee. There is a minimum accepted value of UK£100.00 for International Bank Transfers.

Returns are not accepted on items that have been used by the buyer. This use includes the reading, copying (electronically or otherwise) and using for
reference all or any part of the sold book, pamphlet or other printed matter. Payment for the cost of mailing returns will be in accordance with abebooks policies.

Returns and refunds are in accordance with the terms shown on the Abebooks policies page.

Reasonable enquiries, made prior to sale, concerning the content and the condition of any item will be answered wherever possible.

Diritto legale di recesso

Hai il diritto di recedere dal presente contratto entro 14 giorni senza fornire alcuna motivazione.

Il periodo di recesso scade dopo 14 giorni dal giorno in cui tu o una terza parte, diversa dal vettore e da te indicata, acquisisce il possesso fisico dell'ultimo bene o dell'ultimo lotto o pezzo.

Per esercitare il diritto di recesso, compila e invia elettronicamente una dichiarazione esplicita sul nostro sito Web, alla voce “I miei acquisti” nella sezione “Mio account”. Ti comunicheremo senza indugio una conferma di ricezione di tale recesso su un supporto durevole (ad es. via e-mail).

Per rispettare il termine di recesso, è sufficiente inviare la comunicazione relativa all'esercizio del diritto di recesso prima della scadenza del periodo di recesso stesso.

Effetti del recesso

In caso di recesso dal presente contratto, ti rimborseremo tutti i pagamenti ricevuti, compresi i costi di spedizione (ad eccezione dei costi supplementari derivanti dalla tua eventuale scelta di un tipo di spedizione diverso dal tipo meno costoso di consegna standard da noi offerto).

Potremo effettuare una detrazione dal rimborso per la perdita di valore dei beni forniti, qualora tale perdita sia il risultato di una manipolazione non necessaria da parte tua.

Eseguiremo il rimborso senza indebito ritardo e non oltre 14 giorni dal giorno in cui saremo informati della tua decisione di recedere dal presente contratto.

Il rimborso sarà effettuato utilizzando lo stesso mezzo di pagamento da te usato per la transazione iniziale, salvo che tu non abbia espressamente concordato altrimenti; in ogni caso, non dovrai sostenere alcun costo quale conseguenza di tale rimborso.

Possiamo trattenere il rimborso finché non avremo ricevuto i beni oppure finché non avrai fornito la prova di averli rispediti, a seconda di quale condizione si verifichi per prima.

Dovrai rispedire i beni o consegnarli a Bailgate Books Ltd, Malt Kiln House, Everton Road. Mattersey, DN10 5DS, Doncaster, United Kingdom, +44 1777 816723, senza indebito ritardo e, in ogni caso, entro 14 giorni dal giorno in cui ci hai comunicato la tua volontà di recedere dal presente contratto. Il termine è rispettato se rispedisci i beni prima della scadenza del periodo di 14 giorni. I costi diretti della restituzione dei beni saranno a tuo carico. Sei responsabile solo della diminuzione del valore dei beni risultante da una manipolazione diversa da quella necessaria per stabilire la natura, le caratteristiche e il funzionamento dei beni stessi.

Eccezioni al diritto di recesso

Il diritto di recesso non si applica a:

1. La fornitura di giornali, periodici o riviste ad eccezione dei contratti di abbonamento; e
2. La fornitura di contenuto digitale non fornito su un supporto materiale (ad es. su un CD o DVD), se al momento dell'invio dell'ordine hai accettato l'inizio dell'esecuzione e hai riconosciuto che non avresti potuto recedere una volta iniziata l'esecuzione.

EU orders may be subject to additional charges for: (country of purchaser) VAT, import duties, customs charges and handling fees from couriers. These may be requested in advance by Bailgate Books Ltd to be paid on the buyer's behalf or may be required by the courier from the buyer prior to delivery. Bailgate Books Ltd will endeavour to provide buyers with shipping solutions that minimise overall costs whilst maintaing integrity and quality of service.

Delivery costs are based on parcels (books plus packaging) weighing up to 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is in excess of 1kg or 2.2lb, we will
contact you to let you know if there is a required additional delivery charge and its amount.

Please note that if you select standard shipping, tracked information may be only available to ourselves. If you require tracked shipping with tracked information available to yourself, please ensure that you contact us prior to purchase. Please do not seek a tracking number after the sale if you have not already indicated that tracking information visible to yourself will be required.

We sometimes offer significant savings on shipping when delivering more than one book to the same address.

Books sent to addresses other than those from which the payment is made may be sent by a tracked/signed for service and/or additional insurance may be taken out and an extra charge may be made for such orders. Please ensure you notify us if you are asking for books to be delivered to a different person or address that that from which the order is made (drop-shipped).

All shipped books will contain a tax invoice (receipt).

Where possible, our packaging is made from recycled materials or materials made from sustainable sources.

Shipping times are given as estimates only and may be lengthened by delays in the postal service/carrier service or, for non-UK destinations, by delays at
customs.
