A fine first edition, first printing, first impression of the children's trade edition of J. K Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in hardback boards with illustrations on the front, back and spine by Jason Cockcroft, published by Bloomsbury Publishing Ltd, London in 2003. The fine (as new, unread and pristine condition) book has pictorial covers with titles on the spine and cover in blue, red and yellow, with all the edges in white as well as white end papers. The tight, bright book has no marks, bumps or writings over its 766 pages. The fine multicoloured dust jacket with the price in sterling, is not price clipped, has no blemishes and replicates the book cover on the dust jacket The reverse of the title page states First Edition indicating the first edition status. A faint mirror image of the half title page appears on the front end paper indicating the first state edition of the book. The book was published by Bloomsbury on 21st June 2003 to great fanfare and the book contains four hands outs from the event; a DO NOT DISTURB Busy reading H.P.O.T.P. door handle hanger, An I'm reading Harry Potter book marker with a secret password, A book sticker stating This copy of Harry Potter belongs to ., Three stick on badges, two saying I'm on page . of Harry Potter and the third I finished reading Harry Potter at . o'clock, date . Harry Potter is a publishing sensation with over 450 million books sold, an enormously successful movie series and is now spawning theme parks around the world. Bloomsbury plan to issue a fully illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone with all drawings by Jim Kay on 6th Oct 2015. This renewed interest will have a positive impact on the value of Harry Potter books. Clear removable archival film protects the pristine dust jacket.
