Probably the best-known was his elopement with Hina, queen of Hilo, this being one of the immediate causes of the a series of wars with the son's of Hina. He was the Hawaiian Paris and Hina was the Hawaiian Helen and their story is dramatic record of the love and hate, wrong and revenge, courage and custom, passion and superstition, of mythical times. Their story dates to the 12th century AD, 2400 years after the fall of Troy. He was the eldest son of Kamauaua. He was a warlike youth, well skilled in arms and mighty in strength and courage.
