This book is sure to fascinate anyone with an interest in Haworth, the Brontës and their time living there.

At that time, Haworth was a thriving industrial town in the unlikely rural position among the Yorkshire Dales and hills near Bradford. Whilst still an agricultural community, the town now enjoys tourism and the outdoor life.

This book, by renowned Yorkshire writer and historian Paul Chrystal, looks at the history of Haworth from its early days, through to the present. It uses historic photographs and images to show what the streets, houses and people looked like in different time periods, including the various locations associated with the Brontës.

No other book on Haworth covers the history of the town up to the present day in such colour.

Paul Chrystal is one of Yorkshire s premier authors, having written over 100 books on the history of York and the Yorkshire and North East region. He is also editor of The York Historian.
