Neuware - You're exhausted from trying to hold everything together. You plan, prepare, double-check, and manage - and still can't relax until everything is certain, which it never is. If you're worn out from gripping a life that refuses to be gripped, this book is for you. You need to know what's coming. You struggle to delegate, to switch off, to trust that things will be okay without you steering them. You brace against the future, replay the what-ifs, and feel a low, constant hum of unease whenever life is uncertain - which is always. It's called the need for control, and here is the truth that changes everything: you control far less than you think, and that is a relief, not a disaster. You were never meant to control the world - only to live in it, with open hands. Holding On Too Tight is a warm, calm, secular guide for the anxious controller - the caring, overthinking person whose gripping is driven by fear and a struggle to tolerate uncertainty, not by being bossy or difficult. No 'just trust the universe, ' no vague 'go with the flow, ' no willpower lectures - just grounded tools, drawn from cognitive behavioural principles and self-compassion, for finally loosening your grip. Inside, you'll learn how to: - Understand why you grip so hard - and the fear beneath the need for control- See through the illusion of control - and feel the relief in it- Tell what you can control from what you can't, and pour your energy where it counts- Build your tolerance for uncertainty, instead of chasing a certainty life can't give- Make peace with not knowing - and even find its hidden gift- Trust yourself to cope: shift from 'I must control the outcome' to 'I can handle whatever happens'- Do your part and release the rest - caring deeply without controlling- Hold your life, and the people you love, with open handsIt also includes a pocket toolkit, a circle-of-control worksheet, real-life scenarios, and a loosen-your-grip reset for the moments your fist clenches again. You cannot hold water in a clenched fist. Open your hands - and you'll find you can hold far more, far more lightly. Stop holding on so tight. Scroll up and grab your copy - and start living with open hands. …

You need to know what’s coming. You struggle to delegate, to switch off, to trust that things will be okay without you steering them. You brace against the future, replay the what-ifs, and feel a low, constant hum of unease whenever life is uncertain — which is always. It’s called the need for control, and here is the truth that changes everything: you control far less than you think, and that is a relief, not a disaster. You were never meant to control the world — only to live in it, with open hands.
Holding On Too Tight is a warm, calm, secular guide for the anxious controller — the caring, overthinking person whose gripping is driven by fear and a struggle to tolerate uncertainty, not by being bossy or difficult. No ‘just trust the universe,’ no vague ‘go with the flow,’ no willpower lectures — just grounded tools, drawn from cognitive behavioural principles and self-compassion, for finally loosening your grip.
Inside, you’ll learn how to:
- Understand why you grip so hard — and the fear beneath the need for control
- See through the illusion of control — and feel the relief in it
- Tell what you can control from what you can’t, and pour your energy where it counts
- Build your tolerance for uncertainty, instead of chasing a certainty life can’t give
- Make peace with not knowing — and even find its hidden gift
- Trust yourself to cope: shift from ‘I must control the outcome’ to ‘I can handle whatever happens’
- Do your part and release the rest — caring deeply without controlling
- Hold your life, and the people you love, with open hands
You cannot hold water in a clenched fist. Open your hands — and you’ll find you can hold far more, far more lightly.
Stop holding on so tight. Scroll up and grab your copy — and start living with open hands.
