Have you ever wondered why stories of biblical events that occurred thousands of years ago can still be relevant? More to the point, what are the lessons from those events that God wants us to learn, and to apply to our lives?

Holy God, Fallen World is a collection of fascinating Bible stories that reveal God's interaction with the men and women of the fallen world, who live in rebellion to God and His principles, and reject His demand for righteousness. The people of the fallen world live according to their own immoral ideas, desires, and plans. They have no concern that others may be hurt by their actions.

The stories in this book give examples of the rebellion by unfaithful men and women of the fallen world; how God has responded to their actions over past centuries; and what the consequences of their rebellious actions were.

Important lessons about God's relationship with the men and women of His creation can be learned from these stories. They reveal how God has guided, responded, and often punished the sinful behavior and actions of the people of the fallen world throughout past centuries.

These timeless lessons are entirely relevant in today's troubled, fallen world.

David Rece is a retired financial executive who lives in Schertz, Texas, a small community near San Antonio.  He and his wife Jan have been married for more than twenty-five years, and their two extended families together have five children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.David completed the General Bible Course from Liberty University.  He also has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and he graduated with distinction from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.David taught Bible classes almost continuously for nearly twenty years.  He and Jan hosted Bible Study classes in their home, often twice a week, after David retired in 2005.  David also has taught Bible Study classes in his local church. For all his classes, David wrote the notes that were used as a textbook, and for more than ten years he prepared a brief weekly bulletin for his classes with the objective of raising his students' level of interest in the Bible.  In each weekly issue of the bulletin, David included a short "Did You Know?" story, from which the stories in this book are developed.
