Jacob Bedell, an accomplished man to anybody looking in, secretly spent his whole life trying to avoid any real challenge that came his way. That all changed when he suddenly was faced with the possibility that his wife could have cancer and die. Although the terror he felt kicked off his typical pattern of frozen avoidance, he knew that if he did nothing, it would tear him apart inside. One fateful night, in a moment of exhausted desperation he does something that will change his life forever. Although unsure of the result at first, he soon begins to see signs that make him believe that his own actions caused her life to be spared. This takes him on a quest that will challenge his long-standing cynicism and fear, in order to make sense of what has transpired. Along the way he’ll seek answers from many intriguing characters. But will he have the courage to accept what he ultimately finds? One thing is certain, Jacob Bedell won’t be the same again and neither will you after you read, Hope Road.

Informazioni sull’autore
My name is Phil Drucker, and I live with my wife and three children in New Jersey. I am a psychologist and a college professor. I’ve taught psychology and have done clinical work for over two decades. But whether I should call myself a novelist or not, I will leave up to public opinion. In other words, you’ll have to read my book and decide for yourself. I do know that writing, Hope Road was probably the single most enjoyable and gratifying professional experience I’ve ever had. I also know that some who read the book and know me might ask, “So how much of this is true?” The answer is simple; truth like beauty is ultimately in the eyes of the beholder. For me the story is as true as any story could be. I believe in what my protagonist, Jacob Bedell, is searching for…something to believe in. I think we all have a story like that inside of us.
