Recensione: With the publication of the second edition, the author has made a good book even better. The author's writing style is clear and detailed, and therefore this book should be accessible to most reasonably well-prepared college students. The exercises come in a variety of forms. Most exercises have solutions appearing in the back of the book, but in every chapter there is a section of exercises for which there are no solutions, another factor which would help make this book suitable as a stand-alone text. To summarize: this is a valuable book. Any professor teaching a course in topology should have a copy close at hand. -- Dr Mark Hunacek
