Our inspiration for writing the Illegal Images Workbook comes from our experience working with individuals who often feel deep shame, fear, and distress about their use of child sexual abuse medial but do not know where to turn for help. This workbook is designed to guide them toward Awareness, Health, Freedom, and Hope, as represented by the signpost on the workbook’s cover. It aims to help individuals break free from harmful patterns and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

The workbook provides essential information, exercises, and resources to help individuals navigate a new path—one that leads away from sexually harmful behavior. It is organized around six core areas: Emotion Management, Intimacy Skills, Deviant Sexuality, Out-of-Control Sexual Behavior, Technology Use, and Victim Awareness. While these are not the only challenges individuals may face, they are among the most common and critical to address.

The Illegal Images Workbook balances increasing awareness with practical exercises designed to develop new skills and promote lasting change. It contains over 50 interactive exercises specifically created for individuals struggling with child sexual abuse media. Each exercise encourages readers to Reflect & Respond and React to the concepts presented, fostering deeper understanding and personal growth.
