Internet of Things and Its Applications

Subrata Dutta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of the West of Scotland, UK. He received his M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He was the recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Fellowship awarded by the European Union in 2016. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, mobile computing, and machine learning. He has published over 30 articles in reputed journals and conferences in his research fields.

Chandrashekhar Azad obtained his MCA from Ranchi University in 2011, where he was honored with the Gold Medal for Best Master's Degree in Professional Courses. He later earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, in 2017. Dr. Azad successfully cleared the UGC NET (Computer Science and Applications) examination. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, he has authored over 50 research papers published in prestigious international journals and conferences. Dr. Azad also contributes as a reviewer for various international journals and conferences. His research interests span several domains, including Intrusion Detection Systems, Metaheuristic Algorithms, Swarm Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, Data Mining, Medical Data Mining, and Machine Learning.

Sarmistha Neogy is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. She received her Ph.D. degree in Engineering, as well as her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science & Engineering, from Jadavpur University. She is a Senior Member of IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society. She has published extensively in reputed international journals and conference proceedings and has co-authored four books. Dr. Neogy is a member of the Government of India mirror committee for the Joint Technical Committee (JTC 1). Her research interests include Fault Tolerance in Distributed Systems, Reliability and Security in Wireless and Mobile Systems, Security and Privacy, and Wireless Sensor Networks.

Vinay Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Naya Raipur. He completed his doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT (BHU), Varanasi. Before joining IIIT Naya Raipur, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur and BIT Mesra, Ranchi. He has published over 30 research papers in prestigious SCI journals and conference proceedings. In addition, he has served as a reviewer for numerous international journals and conferences. His research interests include Software Engineering, Reliability, Safety and Security Analysis of Computer-Based Systems, Mathematical Modeling, and Machine Learning.

Keshav Dahal is a Professor of Intelligent Systems and the Director of the Artificial Intelligence, Visual Communications, and Network Research Centre at the University of the West of Scotland, Paisley, UK. He received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Strathclyde, UK. He has also held academic and research positions at the University of Strathclyde and the University of Bradford, UK. His research interests lie in applied AI, trust and security modeling in distributed systems, blockchain technologies, and scheduling/optimization problems. He has been the principal investigator or co-investigator on more than 15 externally funded projects and has supervised over 20 Ph.D. and postdoctoral researchers. He has published over 150 papers in his research fields, including award-winning publications, and has served on organizing and program committees for over 60 international conferences. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
