Vol II - 529 pp. Colour frontispiece & 1 other colour plate. Contents: Societies of Insects, Defence mechanisms, Insect Noises, Luminous Insects, Hibernation etc. Some spots of foxing on prelims and rear pages of text. Both volumes bound in original brown leather. Five raised bands on spine with gilt lettering on maroon spine labels. Vol I - bottom of spine rubbed away. Edges and corners of boards well rubbed. Vol II - Corners well rubbed. Bindings sound. Overall condition VG.
