Susan O'Connell has decades of experience supporting teachers in making sense of mathematics and effectively shifting how they teach. As a former elementary teacher, reading specialist, and math coach, Sue knows what it's like in the classroom and her background is evident throughout her work as she unpacks best practices in a clear, practical, and upbeat way. Sue is the lead author of the new Math by the Book series, a K-5 resource connecting math and children's literature. She is also the lead author of Math in Practice, a grade-by-grade K-5 professional learning resource. She is also coauthor of the bestselling Putting the Practices Into Action, Mastering the Basic Math Facts in Addition and Subtraction, and Mastering the Basic Math Facts in Multiplication and Division. She served as editor of Heinemann's popular Math Process Standards series and also wrote the bestselling Now I Get It. Sue is a nationally known speaker and education consultant who directs Quality Teacher Development, an organization committed to providing outstanding math professional development for schools and districts across the country. Karren Shultz-Ferrell is coauthor of Introduction to Reasoning and Proof (Grades PreK - 2, 3 - 5, and 6 - 8), part of Heinemann's Math Process Standards Series. She is an elementary mathematics instructional specialist for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland and former classroom teacher. A board representative for the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Karren consults with school systems and presents at state, regional, and national conferences.
Denisse R. Thompson is the coauthor of three Heinemann titles: Math, Culture, and Popular Media: Activities to Engage Middle School Students Through Film, Literature, and the Internet (2009); Mathematical Literacy (2008) and Introduciton to Reasoning and Proof (2008), part of the Math Process Standards Series for Grades 6-8. A professor of mathematics education at the University of South Florida, Tampa, she currently serves as President of the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics (2008-2009) and as monograph series editor for the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (2005-2008). Denisse previously taught at the middle school, high school, and community college levels, and since 2005 has been Director of Evaluation for the Secondary Component of the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project. She has written extensively on mathematics communication and the use of children's literature to teach mathematics.

Hai il diritto di recedere dal presente contratto entro 14 giorni senza fornire alcuna motivazione.
Il periodo di recesso scade dopo 14 giorni dal giorno in cui tu o una terza parte, diversa dal vettore e da te indicata, acquisisce il possesso fisico dell'ultimo bene o dell'ultimo lotto o pezzo.
Per esercitare il diritto di recesso, compila e invia elettronicamente una dichiarazione esplicita sul nostro sito Web, alla voce “I miei acquisti” nella sezione “Mio account”. Ti comunicheremo senza indugio una conferma di ricezione di tale recesso su un supporto durevole (ad es. via e-mail).
Per rispettare il termine di recesso, è sufficiente inviare la comunicazione relativa all'esercizio del diritto di recesso prima della scadenza del periodo di recesso stesso.
Effetti del recesso
In caso di recesso dal presente contratto, ti rimborseremo tutti i pagamenti ricevuti, compresi i costi di spedizione (ad eccezione dei costi supplementari derivanti dalla tua eventuale scelta di un tipo di spedizione diverso dal tipo meno costoso di consegna standard da noi offerto).
Potremo effettuare una detrazione dal rimborso per la perdita di valore dei beni forniti, qualora tale perdita sia il risultato di una manipolazione non necessaria da parte tua.

Dovrai rispedire i beni o consegnarli a GreatBookPricesUK, Castle Donington, Derby, United Kingdom, senza indebito ritardo e, in ogni caso, entro 14 giorni dal giorno in cui ci hai comunicato la tua volontà di recedere dal presente contratto. Il termine è rispettato se rispedisci i beni prima della scadenza del periodo di 14 giorni. I costi diretti della restituzione dei beni saranno a tuo carico. Sei responsabile solo della diminuzione del valore dei beni risultante da una manipolazione diversa da quella necessaria per stabilire la natura, le caratteristiche e il funzionamento dei beni stessi.
Eccezioni al diritto di recesso
Il diritto di recesso non si applica a:
- La fornitura di giornali, periodici o riviste ad eccezione dei contratti di abbonamento; e
