Rilegato. Condizione: quasi ottimo. Il volume comprende due pubblicazioni di Rudolf Carnap: "Introduction to Semantics" a "Formalization of Logic". Legatura editoriale, cm 14,5 x 21,5. Pagg XIV + 260 e XV + 159. I due indici degli argomenti sono visibili nelle immagini che presentano il volume. Ottimo esemplare, come nuovo, salvo che la luce ha parzialmente scolorito il dorso. Carnap è stato un filosofo, logico tedesco naturalizzato statunitense (nel 1941). Fu membro del Circolo di Vienna ed influente esponente del neopositivismo. Il tentativo di valorizzare logiche non intensionali portò alla sua pubblicazione di "The Introduction of Semantics" (1942), un'opera ristretta alla logica esclusivamente estensionale, così come il volume successivo, "Formalization of Semantics" (1943). Tuttavia, è poi tornato a considerare le logiche non estensionali in "Meaning and Necessity" (Significato e necessità). Leader nel movimento dell'unità della scienza, Carnap ha anche lottato con il principio di verifica empirica del significato e con i problemi dell'induzione e della teoria della probabilità.
