3 x 5" sewn booklet in color pictorial wrappers. Unpaged [8p. not including wrappers]. Illustrated with four color drawings and five black and white images. Front wrapper is printed in black and with initial letters in red and has a color image of a woman in a rocking chair sewing. The rear wrapper has a black and white image of a child crying, the printed capion "Children Cry for IT" and four black and white images of the end of a spool of thread. There is a tiny stain at the top edge of the rear wrapper, a small smudge on one of the internal pages, else near fine to fine with square and flat corners, bright colors and no internal markings. Date determined from the contents. An absolutely delightful piece of sewing ephemera. Rhymes include the following: "There was a jolly miller's wife," Ding Dong Bell, "Some mice sat in a barn to spin," Three Little Pigs, There Was An Old Woman, Hickery Dickery, and Mama Made An Apple Pie--all altered to remind the reader of something having to do with Clark's O.N.T. sewing goods. This is a complimentary advertising booklet. for the Clark Thread Company. Date determined from the contents.
