Martyn was Cambridge professor of botany for sixty-three years and the first reader of botany following the foundation of the Cambridge botanical garden. 8vo (195 × 122 mm), pp. [iii]-xxviii, 324 (bound without half-title). Occasional light soiling or staining. Uncut in nineteenth-century green morocco, spine lettered in gilt. Slightly rubbed. A very good copy.
