Riassunto
Are you struggling to sing in a foreign language? The Language of Song are graded songbooks that provide classic song repertoire, carefully selected by examiners and professional singers Heidi Pegler and Nicola-Jane Kemp to develop the vital skills required to sing in a foreign language. Each song gives both a literal and poetic translation of each text, a detailed pronunciation guide and background information on the songs as well as technical and musical teaching points. The accompanying CD provides the text for each song spoken by a native speaker -- expert language consultants who specialize in coaching singers -- as well as a recording of each song accompaniment.

Recensione
These books offer a very valuable learning experience; they are very carefully thought out, and offer the best introduction to singing in other languages that I have come across. If I mention the fact that nearly all the pieces are to be found in the examination syllabi of the ABRSM and the Trinity Guildhall, do not be tempted to look at them simply as exam material. This very practical consideration means that the books may well be bought with a specific exam piece in mind, but they will then be used and studied by both teachers and students long after. --Singing Magazine (Association of Teachers of Singing), Winter 2006
This excellent anthology series is a good source for reference, study, and performance. --Journal of Singing (National Association of Teachers of Singing), May 2010
