Life’s most persistent and urgent question is “What are you doing for others?” asked Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. That quote, we believe, summarizes the essence of this book. Our goal has been to look at the leadership of Nehemiah, how he lived his life, his character, his work, his service, his sacrifice, and his commitment to help the people of Judah in 444 B.C. and then how to draw parallels that can be applied to us today. A quick search on the internet revealed over 18,700 book titles on leadership and another 6056 books on specific leaders. Many of these books are excellent studies on leadership. Likewise, we found numerous books written on the leadership style of the many world leaders throughout history.
