Although teen advisory groups flourish in many libraries, no how-to guidebook has ever been published for librarians who run them. At last, the activities and policies of actual groups in school and public libraries are described in detail in this essential handbook. From funding to bylaws, from starting a new group to rejuvenating an old one, from classic projects to unique roles, from community involvement to voting on adult library boards, Tuccillo covers the wide landscape of teen advisory groups of all stripes and types.

Diane P. Tuccillo has been Young Adult Coordinator at the City of Mesa Library in Mesa, Arizona, since 1980 where she is also the advisor for the Young Adult Advisory Council (YAAC). Furthermore, she teaches Literature for Adolescents at Arizona State University part-time.
Diane Tuccillo is available to provide a workshop on teen library advisory groups entitled, "A TAB Can Work for You, Too!" If you are interested in finding out more about this workshop and how to schedule it for your library conference, regional training session, in-service training, or other forum, contact Diane at dianetuccillo@gmail.com.
