Have you ever wished that you could get a do-over, right your mistakes? I know I do. Every single day and with every breath I take. I’d give anything to take back some of the things I have done but meeting you Angel, isn’t one of them. I’ll never regret that.
Moving here to this Podunk town wasn’t my choice and I never intended on making friends or falling in love, but the second I met your sassy ass that all changed. I never believed in love at first sight, fate, destiny, or any of that bullshit, not until that day. But from the moment I saw you I was hooked; I couldn’t stay away.
Keeping secrets didn’t serve me well, did it? It got me in trouble, landed me in hospital, and almost ruined my chances with you. I learned the hard way not to hide things from the people I care about. Maybe if I had just learned to be completely honest with you things would be different now. You changed my life in so many ways, in unimaginable ways, and for that, I will be forever grateful. You saved my life more times than you know but this time is beyond anything you have ever done before. There is no way to thank you for the time you have given me, the life I have because of you.
Life as we knew it has changed and you are the reason for that. I guess destiny always had a plan for us, it just wasn’t what I had imagined at all. Our fate was always entwined and now we will always be connected as one. I love you, Angel, with every beat of this heart and I always will.
From the back cover
Caleb has a secret that he believes has been the downfall of his family and the cause of all their problems, so when they move to a small town he plans on keeping his head low to protect those around him. He doesn’t want anyone in this new town knowing the truth about him but his secret causes rifts and rumors and almost ruins his chances with Leila, the girl he is falling for. Caleb is thrown into a roller coaster of life-changing events and with a tragic twist of fate two hearts become one. Not all love stories have a happy ending.
Follow the first part of Caleb’s journey which can be read as a stand-alone.
Book 2 will be coming in 2021.
“This was my first read from this author. I absolutely loved the dual first person point of view, which is a deal breaker for me. I also liked the characters-especially Leila had a lot of funny moments- and the story itself. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.”
“Aw hell. I think you broke me. Such a lovely story. I didn’t see that ending coming. Get the tissues ready guys. Emotional read. I hope there will be a follow on to this.”
“This was a very moving story with an emotional and unexpected twist. I couldn’t put it down. Nice love story with some suspense. made me laugh and cry right there with the characters.”
“I recently read Life As We Knew It by Roma Simone. It broke my heart. So beautiful. The twist was unexpected but well received and well written. Highly recommend.“

Descrizione dello Store
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
