His MSSS (MS in SocialServices) triggered his interest in psychology, thanatology, and society. He has taken manyadditional non-credit undergraduate courses on a huge variety of subjects and supplements hisstudies with constant reading of non-fiction books and periodicals. Walter has studied Kabbalah, originally with Dr. Michael Hattwick back in the 1990's then with Kirk MacNulty. Over the pastdecade or more with Maggy Whitehouse.Professionally he started out as a youth worker in NYC then as a social worker in the District ofColumbia, Department of Human Services. He moved as a civilian in the Pentagon on variousprojects in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the transferred and retired from the Department ofHomeland Security as a senior program manager and program professional instructor. He has twodaughters, one an emergency room MD in California, the other is a fashion designer in Australia.
