Neuware - 'The Log of the Cutty Sark' is a definitive maritime history that chronicles the life and voyages of one of the world's most famous clipper ships. Written by renowned nautical historian Basil Lubbock, this work provides a detailed account of the ship from her construction and launch in 1869 to her legendary races across the high seas.Lubbock expertly navigates the vessel's involvement in the competitive tea trade and the grueling wool runs from Australia, capturing the speed, danger, and technical prowess required to master these global routes. The narrative draws heavily from actual ship logs and first-hand accounts, offering an authentic look at life aboard a nineteenth-century sailing vessel. Readers will discover the stories of the captains and crews who pushed the ship to its limits, securing its place in naval lore.As a tribute to the era of sail, 'The Log of the Cutty Sark' serves as both a technical record and a thrilling adventure. It explores the transition from wind-powered clippers to the age of steam, highlighting the ship as a symbol of the peak of nautical engineering.
