A copy of inscribed by Kathryn Morgan Ryan of Cornelius Ryan's famous history of D-Day. Kathryn Morgan, Cornelius Ryan's spouse, was a noted journalist and made a significant contribution to "The Longest Day" as a researcher and editor. She is the author of "A Private Battle," an account of Cornelius Ryan's struggle with cancer. This copy is inscribed by Kathryn Morgan Ryan on the dedication page: "To Chuck, in commemoration of your June 6, 1972 direction of 'The Longest Day. Kathryn Morgan Ryan May 15, 1979." Black cloth, 350 pages, illustrated. No printing number stated but appears to be a mid 1970s printing as indicated by the $12.95 original price on the dust jacket and the isbn number on the copyright page. The book itself show minimal sign of previous use. The dust jacket has edge wear.
