This unique project unites one of the great architects with state-of-the-art advanced computer-graphics technology. Utilizing computer simulation, eight of Kahn's unbuilt designs' archival documentation are virtually exploited to construct computer images of astonishing versitilitude. Specimens range from the U.S. Consulate in Luanda, Angola (1959-62) to the Palazzo dei Congressi in Venice (1968-74). Vincent Scully is Sterling Professor Emeritus of the History of Art at Yale University and a distinguished visiting professor at the University of Miami. His many books include The Shingle Style and Architecture: The Natural and the Man-Made.

William J. Mitchell is academic head of the Program in Media Arts and Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
