Includes the separately paged "History of Cotton Manufacture in the United States." 124; 105 pp. Snugly bound and bright in original pebbled brown cloth; title lettering brightly in gilt to spine. Folding, illustrated broadsheet mounted to the front pastedown shows the Emerson Dynamometer. A hand-drawn technical sketch on card showing proper placement of the Dynamometer is tipped to a blank endpage. Remaingin in the book are some several sheets of period paper with claculations and formale. A few scattered instances of interesting pencil marginalia in text. Expected mild toning to page stock. Several pages of publisher ads at rear. Solid and neat. VG+.
