This detailed street plan of St. Paul, Minnesota was published by George Cram in Indianapolis in 1898. It shows the first of the Twin Cities near the end of the 19th century, with a notable emphasis on local transportation routes like railroads and streetcar lines. Concentric circles radiating in one mile increments from the city center give a pedestrian audience helpful context as well. The Mighty Mississippi can be seen bisecting the image horizontally, while green color indicates public parks, levees, the stock yards, fair grounds, and more. Sheet Width (in) 17.4 Sheet Height (in) 12.1 Condition Description Slightly toned around the outer edges, consistent with age, and a few faint spots of discoloration confined to the margins. Very good overall.
