Most regular math teachers in schools routinely focus on a narrow range of topics. Their knowledge and experience may not cover the full curriculum of the SAT and ACT. Also, they may not be familiar with the style and content of these tests or with the techniques and strategies commonly used to deal with them. One section, On Tutoring Math, discusses the author’s approach to teaching math and covers Communication, Motivation, Excellence, and more.
The first book, MATH GOLD, was written to be understood by teenagers on their own and can be very helpful for parents who want to take a more active approach and have the time. Parents provide motivation and can be the single most crucial factor in determining the final outcome for students.
