The story of a garage mechanic who joined the UK Territorial Army to get a free truck licence, but ended up staying 27 years with many adventures and challenging times along the way! From humble beginnings in 1978 to an operational tour in Kosovo and a trip to Kazakhstan. There are some serious and sad times with military humour thrown in. A warts and all journey through the end of the Cold War and beyond. An easy read, one of those books difficult to put down once started!
