She earned her bachelor's degree from Simmons College, completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and received her Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts. Megan Riehl, PsyD, is an internationally recognized gastrointestinal psychologist, Associate Professor of Medicine, and Director of GI Behavioral Health at the University of Michigan. She also serves as Senior Advisor for GI Psychology, a virtual group practice dedicated to gastrointestinal behavioral health. A leading expert in gastropsychology, Dr. Riehl specializes in helping individuals manage disorders of gut-brain interaction, including irritable bowel syndrome, as well as chronic gastrointestinal conditions that affect quality of life.

Through her clinical practice, research, teaching, and advocacy, Dr. Riehl has helped advance the integration of behavioral health into digestive healthcare.
