MIRACULOUS: Navigating The COVID-19 Storm: A Five-Year Journey, Pastor and Wife's Account of Illness and Recovery-EXTENDED EDITION is a deep look into faith, persistent prayer, collateral blessings, and miracles, offering a five-year revealing perspective on the COVID-19 Global Pandemic (the early days), and showing how the millions lost are more than just statistics.

"I was very worried when I found out that my brother, George, was in the hospital being treated for the Coronavirus. It had finally hit home; most of the stories that I heard were on the news about people I did not know, and the current political administration, dampening the severity of the virus ¿" -Terry DeFord, brother of Rev. Dr. George DeFord

"This very virus that we as a family talked about and watched through news media, how it was wreaking havoc on our nation, has now hit our very own doorstep." -Shauntia S., niece of Rev. Dr. George DeFord and Mrs. Lila DeFord

"When I received the initial news of Rev. and Mrs. DeFord, contracting the Coronavirus, the news was devastating, to say the least. These were the first people that I knew personally who were diagnosed with COVID-19. The actualization of this deadly disease became much more real, but I had faith that both would survive." -Rev. Dr. Johnsie W. Cogman, District Superintendent of the Washington East District, Baltimore-Washington Conference, of the United Methodist Church

"A million died and he was almost one of them, but the Reverend George DeFord, through prayer and God's will, was wheeled OUT of the hospital on a gurney through the front door 30 days after he arrived, as dozens of staff cheered his survival." -Sam Ford, WJLA TV Washington, DC reporter, retired.
