"Modern Solid Geometry" is a comprehensive pedagogical work designed to introduce students to the principles of three-dimensional mathematics. Written by noted educators John Roscoe Clark and Arthur Sinton Otis, this text explores the spatial relationships of points, lines, and planes, providing a rigorous foundation in solid geometry.

The book covers essential topics such as prisms, pyramids, cylinders, cones, and spheres. It emphasizes logical reasoning and the application of geometric principles to solve complex spatial problems. Through a series of theorems, proofs, and practical exercises, the authors guide the reader through the visualization and calculation of volumes and surface areas of various solids.

This work serves as a significant historical example of early 20th-century mathematics education, reflecting a structured approach to teaching geometry that remains foundational to modern curricula. "Modern Solid Geometry" is an invaluable resource for students, educators, and those interested in the history of mathematical instruction and the enduring beauty of Euclidean geometry in three dimensions.
