Two criminals are thrown together by fate--both running from their pasts--a weathered man and a mysterious young woman who refuses to give her name form an unlikely partnership and take on a mission that could tear reality apart as they make their way through the already decaying barren wasteland of the American Dream and everything it stands for. Their goal? Recover an ancient artifact for Jackie Gleason—yes, that Jackie Gleason, TV legend and rumored connoisseur of all things extraterrestrial. But this isn't just a strange road trip. There are cosmic forces beyond imagination with a taste for chaos and vengeance and so much more along their route.
As their uneasy alliance unravels mile by mile in a world littered with nuclear secrets and Howard Johnson's, buried secrets claw to the surface. and betrayals bloom like roadside flowers. And the closer they get to Gleason’s hideaway, the more the lines blur between divine comedy and cosmic horror. The team might manage to reach Jackie, but doing so could cost them their very lives. Still, the mission cannot be put to a halt and our wayward strangers, with the help of the most eclectic cast of characters you've ever seen including occult actors and endlessly powerful mystical beings, must retrieve the artifact at all costs. It’s a wild fusion of a road trip, theological noir, and pulpy sci-fi absurdism from acclaimed actor John Cusack and artist Ignacio Noe!
This edition will contain bonus character sketches, design work, and script pages from writer John Cusack, plus more surprises.

Informazioni sull’autore
Most recently, Cusack appeared in the WWII spy film “Fog of War,” playing Robert, a conflicted intelligence officer navigating moral ambiguity during the war; “Detective Chinatown 1900,” a historical Chinese blockbuster directed by Chen Sicheng and Dai Mo; and Chinese espionage thriller “Decoded,” which focused on wartime code-breaking and intelligence.
In 2020, Cusack was seen in Prime Video’s SciFi series, “Utopia,” in which he stars as Dr. Kevin Christie, a charismatic, media-savvy, and brilliant biotech mind who wants to change the world through science. “Utopia” is based on Dennis Kelly’s British series of the same name and highly acclaimed author Gillian Flynn served as executive producer and showrunner.
Cusack first gained the attention of audiences by starring in a number of 1980’s film classics such as “The Sure Thing,” “Say Anything” and “Sixteen Candles.” Following these roles, Cusack successfully shed his teen-heartthrob image by demonstrating his ability to expand his film repertoire by starring in a wide range of dramas, thrillers and comedies including “The Grifters,” “Eight Men Out,” “Being John Malkovich,” “High Fidelity” and “Grosse Pointe Blank.”
In recent years, Cusack starred in Bill Pohland’s “Love and Mercy,” in which he played iconic Beach Boys songwriter and musician Brian Wilson. Cusack starred opposite Paul Dano, Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti as Wilson in the later years of his life. Cusack also starred in David Cronenberg’s, “Maps to the Stars” alongside Julianne Moore, Robert Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. The satirical drama is an analysis of the entertainment industry's relationship with Western civilization as a whole.
Cusack also appeared in a supporting role in Spike Lee’s “Chi-Raq,” alongside Teyonah Parris, Nick Cannon and Samuel L. Jackson, Lee Daniels’ drama, “The Paperboy,” opposite Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey and in James McTeigue’s independent thriller “The Raven,” where he portrayed the infamous author, Edgar Allen Poe.
Additionally, in 2009 he starred in Roland Emmerich’s apocalyptic thriller, “2012.” Released by Sony Pictures, the international blockbuster went on to gross more than $766 million worldwide.
In 2001, Cusack was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for his role in the feature version of Nick Hornby's English novel, ""High Fidelity,"" for Touchstone Pictures. In addition to starring in the film, Cusack also co-produced and co-wrote the script with Steve Pink and D.V. DeVincentis. The film also stars Jack Black, Lisa Bonet, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joan Cusack.
In 1999, Cusack starred in the dark comedy ""Being John Malkovich"" for USA Films. Cusack’s performance earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination in the category of Best Actor.
Some of his other feature film credits include: “The Frozen Ground”, “Hot Tub Time Machine”, “War Inc.”, “Grace Is Gone”, “The Ice Harvest”, “Runaway Jury”, “Identity”, “Max”, “Cradle Will Rock”, “The Thin Red Line”, “Con Air”, “City Hall”, “Bullets Over Broadway”, “The Road to Wellville”, “True Colors”, “Broadcast News”, “Serendipity”, “Better Off Dead” and “Stand By Me.”
In April 2012, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce presented Cusack with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, honoring his long, ground-breaking career in film.
Cusack resides in Chicago.
Illustrator and comic artist, born in Argentina in 1965. He resides in Escobar, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
His career began in 1986, when he collaborated with Fierro magazine, creating short comics and cover art. It was there that he met Ricardo Barreiro, with whom he published in Italian publishers such as Lancio Story and L’Eternauta, producing cover art. At the same time, he worked for the Argentine magazine Noticias and the newspaper Clarín.
In 1992, he made his debut in erotic comics with scripts by R. Barreiro, and later continued in the field with his own stories. These works appeared in Kiss Comic, a Spanish magazine, and were later published in book form in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and the United States.
He later came into contact with French scriptwriter Jean-David Morvan, collaborating on “Les Chroniques de Sillage” Vol. I, published by Delcourt.
In the 2000s, he began a long career with the Argentine children’s magazine GENIOS, illustrating stories and books for the collections “Grandes Clásicos” and “Grandes Aventuras”. Around this time, he also created the comic “Julián King”, written by Carlos Trillo.
In 2006, the acclaimed series “Helldorado” was launched, published by Casterman and written by J. D. Morvan and M. Dragan. That same year, he also began illustrating a variety of children’s books for the American publisher Advance Publishing.
In 2010, he collaborated with Damien Hirst’s publishing house Other Criteria on the monograph of painter Ashley Bickerton, adapting into comic form an interview conducted by critic Hans Ulrich Obrist with the American artist.
In 2013, Ignacio published “Douce, tiède et parfumée” with Glénat, notably with a script of his own authorship. He continued working with Glénat on “Jeanne d’Arc”, written by Jérôme Le Gris, and “Et on tuera tous les affreux”, a comic adaptation by J. D. Morvan of Boris Vian’s novel.
In 2022, the first volume of the “Salazar” collection was published by the Spanish publisher Nuevo Nueve. That same year, he released his 2023 calendar “Una mujer, cuatro elementos, todas las cosas” (One Woman, Four Elements, All Things) with the Argentine publisher Dicese, later also publishing French, German, and American versions available in those countries.
In 2023, he created cover art for American publishers Zenescope and Bad Bug. Since then, he has been working on the comic adaptation of the movie script Momo, written by John Cusack, published by Mad Cave and produced by the actor himself.
Ignacio Noé also paints landscapes of the Pampas plains, imbued with a metaphysical undertone. In 2023, he held a virtual exhibition of these works at Entusiasta Gallery in Barcelona. Since 1991, he has directed his own art school, and from his teaching experience he wrote “Ilustración e Imagen Artística”, published by Dicese in 2017.
