Advance Reader's Copy of Uncorrected Proofs in paperback. Clean & tight ARC paperback, unread, in Near Fine condition. "Considering the enormous success of Spamalot and the rabidity of Python's evergreen cross-generational fanbase, it's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since there's been a new Python book by all the surviving members. Now, to celebrate forty years of Monty Python--what the boys are calling their 'Ruby Jubilee'--comes MONTY PYTHON LIVE! as a paperback original. In the words of Eric Idle, 'Over 200 pages lavishly illustrated and lovingly hand crafted by ancient comedians in hand-tooled sentences, this book is the final word on the five hundred years that these six men, one girl, half a musician and an elk toured the then-known world.' In the seventies, as the Beatles of comedy, the Pythons toured the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and elsewhere, and MONTY PYTHON LIVE! is the account of those wild tours, with original material of the surviving Pythons recounting the inside dope, plus a chronological oral history, and material from many of the routines--including some of their most famous--which they performed on the tour, and which have never before appeared in print. MONTY PYTHON LIVE! also includes over 100 never-before-seen images and Python memorabilia [b&w in these proofs] and all organized by their U.S. major domo, the very charming Eric Idle." [publisher copy] ARC copy w/sharp corners & crisp edges, a square & tight binding w/no creases in spine & no jacket as issued.…

You are currently holding in your hand . . .
. . . well, actually, God knows what you are holding in your hand, you are after all adults, and what you hold in your own right hand is entirely up to you . . .
. . . you may, after all, have this in your left hand and something else in your right hand and you will probably have held far worse things in both your hands than this . . . and hey! . . . No! . . .
Stop that! Miss Johansson, I said, "Please hold my calls . . ." Honestly. Hollywood!
Anyway, what you are about to read--or have read to you--is a new book that is the first active collaboration of the Monty Python chaps for many, many years. In fact, the first book written and produced by the Pythons, themselves, since 1979. No, they are not all dead. Okay, some of them have been a bit quiet recently, and one or two have DNR notes by their bedsides, but the point is five of them are still technically alive and that, if not exactly cause for rejoicing, may well be cause for a new book. And this is it!
So hold whatever you like in your right hand while you read this book. Because laughter is jolly good for you. Even if it can make you blind.
--The Pythons
