Please do not email or send us your credit card information directly. Abebooks securely processes credit card purchases for you when you check out on their site, and will ask you for this information when needed; or you can select a different payment option at check out.
Unless otherwise arranged with us prior to purchase, any direct payments
must be received before shipping can commence; in more rare cases, some
payment types may have to clear a financial institution first.
Please ensure that your credit card information is up to date in your
Abebooks account, as outdated card information can cause order processing to
fail. If this happens, contact Abebooks buyer help or us, for help re-placing your order.
Sending cash is at your own risk and cash should be visually obscured and
in an opaque envelope for security. We don't recommend sending substantial cash payments by mail, in any case. and this is generally not the preferred payment option, for most cases.

upgrade may be necessary to allow your book to be insured (this mainly
applies to overseas shipments).

***Delays or problems...

unexpected reasons. If there is any problem with ordering or shipment, or your
book seems late, please contact us right away.
The chance of postal/shipping company delays is higher during holiday
times, tax time, and with some overseas orders. Customs delays are fairly
rare, but can increase the time it takes to get your book. Unfortunately we
cannot control, and thus, cannot be responsible for Customs audits or government agency delays on your shipped package.

order. Also double-check all address information on any returns or payments
sent to us.

***Our policies on returns and refunds...

We accept returns for any reason for 15 days after your book's estimated
delivery time. Sometimes exceptions can be made for returns after this time
by arrangement with us.
Books need to be returned to us complete and in the condition that they
arrived, including any accessories that came with them (CD's, maps, software
licenses/subscriptions, etc), must be included and not altered, activated, or used up.
All returned books should be shipped promptly after a return has been initiated so that we can process your refund ASAP.
A form of tracking should be used when shipping your return to us. This
becomes increasingly more important the more valuable the returning item is, as your
return must be received by us before a refund can be initiated. Tracking
your return confirms when your return was shipped to us, and helps prevent any postal loss or delay.
Please contact us if you are returning a book to us without first completing the Abebooks return process, or need assistance with a return. (Please see Abebook's return information and instructions).
Return shipping refunds and original shipping cost refunds will be refunded based on the circumstances and reason for return (see Abebooks policies for refund reasons).

Diritto legale di recesso

Hai il diritto di recedere dal presente contratto entro 14 giorni senza fornire alcuna motivazione.

Il periodo di recesso scade dopo 14 giorni dal giorno in cui tu o una terza parte, diversa dal vettore e da te indicata, acquisisce il possesso fisico dell'ultimo bene o dell'ultimo lotto o pezzo.

Per esercitare il diritto di recesso, compila e invia elettronicamente una dichiarazione esplicita sul nostro sito Web, alla voce “I miei acquisti” nella sezione “Mio account”. Ti comunicheremo senza indugio una conferma di ricezione di tale recesso su un supporto durevole (ad es. via e-mail).

Per rispettare il termine di recesso, è sufficiente inviare la comunicazione relativa all'esercizio del diritto di recesso prima della scadenza del periodo di recesso stesso.

Effetti del recesso

In caso di recesso dal presente contratto, ti rimborseremo tutti i pagamenti ricevuti, compresi i costi di spedizione (ad eccezione dei costi supplementari derivanti dalla tua eventuale scelta di un tipo di spedizione diverso dal tipo meno costoso di consegna standard da noi offerto).

Potremo effettuare una detrazione dal rimborso per la perdita di valore dei beni forniti, qualora tale perdita sia il risultato di una manipolazione non necessaria da parte tua.

Eseguiremo il rimborso senza indebito ritardo e non oltre 14 giorni dal giorno in cui saremo informati della tua decisione di recedere dal presente contratto.

Il rimborso sarà effettuato utilizzando lo stesso mezzo di pagamento da te usato per la transazione iniziale, salvo che tu non abbia espressamente concordato altrimenti; in ogni caso, non dovrai sostenere alcun costo quale conseguenza di tale rimborso.

Possiamo trattenere il rimborso finché non avremo ricevuto i beni oppure finché non avrai fornito la prova di averli rispediti, a seconda di quale condizione si verifichi per prima.

Dovrai rispedire i beni o consegnarli a Squirrel Away Books, Loveland, Colorado, U.S.A., +1 (720)322-3478, senza indebito ritardo e, in ogni caso, entro 14 giorni dal giorno in cui ci hai comunicato la tua volontà di recedere dal presente contratto. Il termine è rispettato se rispedisci i beni prima della scadenza del periodo di 14 giorni. I costi diretti della restituzione dei beni saranno a tuo carico. Sei responsabile solo della diminuzione del valore dei beni risultante da una manipolazione diversa da quella necessaria per stabilire la natura, le caratteristiche e il funzionamento dei beni stessi.

Eccezioni al diritto di recesso

Il diritto di recesso non si applica a:

1. La fornitura di giornali, periodici o riviste ad eccezione dei contratti di abbonamento; e
2. La fornitura di contenuto digitale non fornito su un supporto materiale (ad es. su un CD o DVD), se al momento dell'invio dell'ordine hai accettato l'inizio dell'esecuzione e hai riconosciuto che non avresti potuto recedere una volta iniziata l'esecuzione.

Shipping rates are based on books weighing approximately 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your order is
very large or heavy; such as a large reference book or textbook, or a set of
books, we may contact you requesting the appropriate additional sum to cover
the extra costs.

Foreign orders will still pay for shipping as usual.

Shipping delays or problems are very uncommon here. We ship promptly for
your convenience and peace of mind.
