Murder Will Out: Or, the King’s Letter Justifying the Marquess of Antrim and Declaring, that what he did in the Irish Rebellion, was by Direction from his Royal Father and Mother, and for the Service of the Crown. By Henry Bennet and Charles II of England and printed in London at the Signet-Office. 1689, 8 pp, 8 x 5.75”, 8vo, paper pamphlet. In as-is condition, with pages detached but complete. Chipping to edges of pages, along with age-related toning and light foxing throughout. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. An extremely scarce piece of British history, originally published in 1663. This pamphlet, written by Charles II of England (1630-1685) and compiled by his advisor, Henry Bennet, 1st Earl Arlington (1618-1685), condones the actions of Randal MacDonnell, 1st Marquess of Antrim (1609-1683), during the Irish Rebellion of 1641. A wonderful piece in need of restoration and binding. FORN-ABE-MSB-0222-Pamphlet-0034.
