I would have bad thoughts about my mom and then feel rejected by my dad. Being so young, I had no idea how to process these emotions, so I just internalized them, shoved them down, put on a happy face, and went into survival mode. I would sometimes talk to my mom about it, and she would always reassure me she never cheated on my dad. However, he was adamant that I was not his child, and he made sure to treat me as such.
