Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Moderate tanning and foxing to pastedowns and endpapers, with pen and pencil marks to front endpaper. Illustrations remain bright and clear. Boards have moderate edge wear with heavy rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends. Moderate fading to spine. Bumping to corners. Heavy tanning and foxing to textblock. Hardback, 8vo, 270pp. Good condition in blue cloth (no dustwrapper). General wear and flecking. Unevenly sunned along spine and upper edges. Corners bumped and frayed. Several indents at upper and lower edges. Spine sunned, with numerous small tears at head and heel. Several small patches of insect damage on front endpaper. Offsetting at both endpapers. Pages age-toned and very foxed. All illustrations present. Copy belonged to Admiral G.F. Hyde, with his name penned at ffep: G.F.Hyde H.M.S. "Vindictive" March '25. Codice articolo 74136
