Who are the serial killers? What drives them? The Need to Kill rips away the myths associated with the world's most terrifying individuals ... and presents the even more terrifying realities. Dr. Steven A. Egger, the field's leading researcher, profiles seven notorious killers, including Gacy, Bundy, Dahmer, and Lucas. You'll go behind the scenes with investigators, discovering their methods. Egger also presents a string of unsolved cases: the work of killers who may still be planning to strike again. For both civilians and law enforcement professionals interested in the serial murder phenomenon.
