What is our symbolic intuition of reality, and how is it possible?

In Toward a New Conception of Mathematics, Davide Lo Vetere leads us on an extraordinary journey to explore the origin of our intuition of reality, and lays down the foundations of a unified style of reasoning that rewrites our rational and intuitive understanding of reality with profound and far-reaching consequences for practically every aspect of human thought.

In a series of mind-boggling thought experiments, Lo Vetere shows with dazzling clarity the invisible structure of abstract thought, by decoding the organizing principles that operate when we imagine, create and explain concepts, and invites us to rewire ourselves with radical and deeply unintuitive ideas about the meaning of the terms knowledge, comprehension, objectivity, meaning, explanation, information, communication, computation and consciousness.

Part metaphysical adventure, part textbook, Toward a New Conception of Mathematics is an agenda-setting book for thinkers, and a must-have for anyone who wants to understand the metaphysical structure of reality and the fabric of human thought.

Davide Lo Vetere is an Italian author and futurist focusing on the frontiers of human intelligence, culture and society, and on the rediscovery of human nature. He has introduced the concept of Authenticity as the essential catalyst in the evolution of humanity, and is using it to define new standards of intellectual, social and spiritual progress. He is the proponent of Interaction Theory, a new theory of knowledge based on mathematical models of consciousness that generalizes modern rational thought, its methods of inquiry, and our understanding of reality, with profound implications for the way we define and advance science, education and communications. He holds a BS/MS in Information Engineering from the University of Padua, Italy, and lives in Dublin, Ireland.
