Received by the Library of Congress November 10, 1941. 11 x 8.5", 11 leaves. Mimeographed. Includes the following sections: Those Who Walk by Night; A War of Independence; The F.F.F.(Free French Forces);the Invisible Army; In Terms of History. [++] Provenance: Library of Congress, with a small oval stamp plus three small rubber stamps on front page; LC rubber stamp on rear page. Front page a little dusty but he rest of the text is in Very Good condition. Stapled, with last leaf detached. Very old and nearly gone horizontal fold at center. [++] NO copies located in WorldCat. [++] The Free French, or "France Libre," was a movement during World War II that continued the fight against Nazi Germany after the fall of France in 1940. Led by General Charles de Gaulle, the Free French Forces operated from London and other locations, organizing resistance efforts and rallying support for the liberation of France. "Pierre de Lanux was involved in the French Resistance during World War II. He played an active role in opposing the Nazi occupation of France. His work with the Resistance included helping to forge documents and providing support to those escaping the regime. Lanux's commitment to the cause reflected his dedication to freedom and resistance against tyranny during a tumultuous period in history.".
