Riassunto:
None of the varieties was found to be immune to OYVMV disease. However the Parbhani karanti and Surkh bhindi was found to be highly resistant, Subz pari and Safal were moderately resistant and Pahuja was found to be tolerant. Confirmation of OYVMV through graft- inoculation was successfully accomplished in green house on similar varieties. Different chemicals were evaluated against OYVMV and whitefly population. Neem extract suppressed the whitefly population with comparison to the untreated controls. Biocontrol (EM) was effective against OYVMV and for reduction of whitefly population per leaf. Imidacloprid was more efficient with comparison to the other chemicals and untreated control.
