Jules Verne arrives in a valley that maps barely acknowledge, following the trail of a man no one can quite explain. Joaquín Mur Castán was born there, the son of a blacksmith and a schoolteacher. He left for Paris on a scholarship and returned by horse-drawn carriage with four trunks full of books and an idea too vast for any laboratory in Europe. In the hamlet of Espierba, at the end of the Pineta Valley, beneath the glacial shadow of Monte Perdido, he has built the Ear: a twelve-meter tower of copper and wrought iron designed to capture, amplify, and record the lowest frequency on Earth. The frequency science will not confirm for another hundred years. The frequency that is pulsing this very moment as you read these words.

What Mur has discovered is more than a physical phenomenon. It is that the Earth possesses an energetic architecture analogous to the human body: seven power nodes distributed across the planet like the chakras of a living being on a continental scale. And that the Pineta Valley—with its limestone massif unlike any other in Europe, its geomagnetic anomaly, and its vast glacial cirque acting as an antenna spanning kilometers—is the fourth of those nodes. The Earth's heart. The place where telluric energy is transformed into a celestial signal.

And something, in the storms of that autumn, answers back.

Upon returning to Paris, Verne debates with the aeronaut Nadar, a Jesuit mathematician, and his own publisher, Hetzel, whether what he witnessed in Pineta is physics, madness, or the first documented conversation between an Aragonese engineer and something that science has yet to name. The question no one can lay to rest is as simple as it is devastating: What if the answer is yes?

The Oracle of Pineta is the manuscript Verne never dared publish. The one he kept locked away in a drawer for a year. The one he wrote because knowledge must not be allowed to perish.

The 7.83 Hz frequency is still pulsing. All that remains is to build the right Ear to hear it.

This work is intended as a tribute to Jules Verne, the timeless author who has inspired generations. It is a story written by me that Jules Verne himself might well have written.

Returns Policy
We ask all customers to contact us for authorisation should they wish to return their order. Orders returned without authorisation may not be credited.
If you wish to return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to obtain authorisation.
Returns requested beyond this time will not be authorised.
Our team will provide full instructions on how to return your order and once received our returns department will process your refund.

Effetti del recesso

In caso di recesso dal presente contratto, ti rimborseremo tutti i pagamenti ricevuti, compresi i costi di spedizione (ad eccezione dei costi supplementari derivanti dalla tua eventuale scelta di un tipo di spedizione diverso dal tipo meno costoso di consegna standard da noi offerto).
