Oscar the Ostrich Gets Lost

'Oscar the ostrich was asleep in the grass.

He didn't see the scary lion walk past.

When he woke to a rumbling sound in his tummy,

He looked all around, but could not find mummy.'

Join Oscar the baby ostrich as he heads off on a wild adventure around the African savannah, in search of his family. With lots of help from the other animals he meets along the way, will Oscar find his mummy before it gets dark?

Testimonials

'We thought your book was fantastic my son loved shouting out which animal Oscar found instead of his mum on each page before I would read it and it held my 2 year old daughters attention really well too I would definitely read it often!' - Katie Blake, ARC Reviewer

'My son very much enjoyed it and instantly asked me to read it again, this is a compliment as his attention span isn't great. Overall I think it is very good and I'm sure it would be a regular bedtime read.' - Matt Thomas, ARC Reviewer

'Your book is lovely, super vibrant and catchy for the children to see with the bright colours and illustrations; we find our children at nursery follow books so much better when they rhyme as it is almost like singing a song! So well done!' - Hannah Taylor, Family Tree Nursery (Wotton-Under-Edge)

'The colours and pictures were fantastic and very eye catching! The story itself was very easy to read and follow. My daughter found it very intriguing to find out what animal was next and if Oscar found his mummy. She wanted me to read the book again and again! So we read it 6 times. We genuinely enjoyed the book and think it has been written and produced really well!' - Mel Ball, ARC Reviewer

'I have just read your book to my daughter and she loved it! The way it is written was easy for me to read and for her to understand. They weren't overly long sentences so nice for her to process and they flowed very nicely. The pictures are drawn beautifully and are very vibrant colours which drew Ivy into the book more and made her very interested. We sometimes struggle with our daughter's attention span when reading a book, but with Oscar the Ostrich Gets Lost she stayed and sat until the end. A great success!' - Imi Lee, ARC Reviewer

'My daughter (3.5yrs) and I have just read it and she seemed to really enjoy it; she was listening carefully and it had her full attention. She particularly liked the Flamingo I think because it is pink! Overall, a success, she enjoyed it.' - Hannah Brocklesby, ARC Reviewer

'My daughter and I have read it at least a dozen times in two days. She loved pointing at the animals and me telling her what they were; she enjoyed the book a lot. The colours are bright, and she loved Oscar! I thought it flowed really well, and wasn't too long for a bedtime book. Actually it was the right length, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it to her, and can see it becoming a firm favourite bedtime book.' - Emma Tazewell, ARC Reviewer

'You should be proud of your book! My daughter loved it; she hasn't been very well but actually sat still long enough for me read it to her. She really enjoyed the pictures and telling me which animals where which. I found the book was very easy to read.' - Charlotte Cooper, ARC Reviewer
