Jaxon is lost. His memories swirl away from him elusively and he struggles to comprehend his place in a medieval world. He is forced to seek sanctuary away from all he thinks he knows following a mysterious fire that incinerates his home. He begins his journey of self-discovery and soon witnesses untold brutality from atop a cliff. His anger and frustration bursts from him and he exacts revenge, finding that he possesses inexplicable powers he cannot control nor understand. Seeking solace and shelter he stumbles upon a terrorised village following a series of callous attacks. Inside its walled enclosure he searches for answers as to the origin of the evil horsemen wreaking havoc on Watsbury Heath’s inhabitants. Aided by the beautiful Lorica and the mystical Qarrel he embarks on an arduous journey to end the suffering of the village. Dangers lurk at every juncture leading to a final climactic battle. But is all as it seems or is the real enemy closer than Jaxon thinks…… FROM THE AUTHOR : Ok lets be upfront : This is my first novel, its quite short (around 142 pages of story) and yes you are taking a risk by buying as I am an 'unknown'. There, all the negatives nice and early for you. Now to the positives. I have written Oscillation in the science-fiction genre, but particularly early on, the story is more an adventure story with only an underlay of science-fiction. I hope the story will interest everyone. If you have never read a science fiction story before this may be a good lead-in. I have tried not to ‘accost’ you with a detailed history and explanation of scientific principles, all you need is an imagination and a willingness to go with it. For the ardent science fiction buff, the story gets progressively more into your genre over the five books and I hope I have provided enough for you also. On the top layer I have attempted to just write a rollicking good yarn that anyone and everyone can enjoy. Underneath this is your journey with Jaxon as he tries to re-discover his identity through his many adventures. If you are a real ‘delver’ there is also a third layer wrapped within it but I will leave that for the reader to find and make of it what they will. Informazioni sull'autore: Christian Gilbert was born on 27 March 1969 in Shrewsbury in the UK. Emigrating with his family to Australia in 1973, he has lived in Melbourne ever since. He was married in 2010 and now lives in Point Cook with his wife Lauren and their 6 step/children and his dog, Barney. He is an avid sports follower, the English Premier League his number one interest, with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club his passion. He is also an avid fan of the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League. He enjoys playing and watching cricket and golf with his children. He loves the TV series Doctor Who and lists songs by Keane, Queen and Mohair as his favourite music. Oscillation is his debut novel over five books, an adventure story with a science-fiction underlay. If you look out over the peak hour train carriages to and from Melbourne on the Werribee line you will probably see him editing his next draft, just look out for the man scribbling furiously with his red pen!
