Newly widowed business woman, Elizabeth Carson, is trying her best to keep her busy life moving forward even though the shock of losing her husband is making it difficult.

She knows that her daughter needs her, but this too is a reminder of what she’s lost. It had always been her husband who’d been the one to lend emotional support to their now young adult daughter--a fact that both annoyed Elizabeth and made her feel envious.

Always one to be in control, she knows that she’s on the verge of a nervous breakdown, which is the last thing she needs in her life.

When she receives a surprise anniversary gift from her deceased husband, taking a trip to Thailand seems like the last thing she should do--until she recognizes that it just may be the one distraction that will keep her from checking herself into a hospital.

When her own pain--physically and emotionally--finally catches up with her while away, she will feel the grief and other emotions that she’s been running from her entire life. If she’s honest and lucky, her daughter will give her the chance to be the mother that she’d always longed to be.

And if she can finally be honest with herself, maybe it’s not too late to have a different kind of life--an authentic life that makes her truly happy--a life that would make her husband proud.
