Paperback. Some pacts save lives. Others claim souls. After surviving the Cinder Prophet, Anshul and his companions are battered, grieving, and running out of time. Argo Ironshovel is still missing. The Ancient One's shadow is spreading. And Anshul's fire grows harder to control with every spell he casts. Their search leads them north to Highland, a lost mining settlement buried in the mountains and haunted by the sins of those who followed a beautiful nightmare into ruin. There, the party discovers the truth behind the woman with rats atop her shoulders: Ziarius, the Nightmare Queen, goddess of fear, lies, and terrible bargains. When death strikes the party, Kotowar is offered a choice no warrior could easily refuse-power enough to stand against the horrors to come, but at a cost that may fracture the trust holding the company together. As undead hordes rise, ancient spirits stir, and a voidwyrm descends from the dark between worlds, Anshul must face the truth he has feared since the beginning: the fire inside him may not be a curse to survive. It may be the sacrifice the world requires. Pact of the Nightmare Queen is Book Two of The Summerhost Saga, a fast-paced humorous epic fantasy packed with misfit heroes, terrifying gods, undead battles, magical airships, found family, dangerous bargains, and world-ending stakes. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
