48 pp. 12mo, publisher's gilt-lettered cloth. Marginal damage to the lower edge of a dozen or so leaves; cloth a little worn; rear (inner) hinge cracked; some inoffensive foxing. Affixed to the rear pastedown is the pocket scale, consisting of a rotating circular ("the result of three years' incessant labor") used for compounding interest, apportioning dividends, etc. There is a gouge to the lower margin and another to the inner dial, but it functions.
