Biomasse hat ein enormes Potenzial, als alternative Energiequelle genutzt zu werden. Im Vergleich zu anderen erneuerbaren Energiequellen wie Wind, Sonne und Wasser liefert Biomasse CO2 und H2, die haupts�chlich zur Herstellung von Biokraftstoff verwendet werden. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschreibt die Details der numerischen Untersuchung von Neem- und Ashoka-Bl�ttern als Biomasse-Einsatzmaterial f�r Festbett-Vergaser zur Erzeugung von Synthesegas. Im Fallstromvergaser durchl�uft die Biomasse eine Reihe von Prozessen wie Trocknung in der Trocknungszone, Pyrolyse in der Pyrolysezone, Verbrennung in der Verbrennungszone bzw. Vergasung in der Reduktionszone und wird am Boden des Vergasers in ein Gasgemisch zusammen mit Holzkohle umgewandelt. Dieses Gasgemisch enth�lt CO, CO2, H2O, H2, CH4 und h�here Kohlenwasserstoffe. Die Studie kommt zu dem Schluss, dass sowohl Neem- als auch Ashoka-Bl�tter ein hohes Potenzial haben, als Biomasse f�r die Erzeugung von Synthesegas verwendet zu werden, das sich als nachhaltige und umweltfreundliche Energiequelle erweist.
